Spend Two Nights with the Peruvian Arts

(by Wolfy Becker)

Again, the much anticipated time of the year has come that many people are looking forward to with lots of excitement!
No, we are not talking Election Day. We are not talking about APRA or UPP, nationalism or social democracy.
We are talking about a little relaxation and distraction from the Humala’s and Garcia’s, from the Toledo’s and Chavez’s; something that will give you a chance to clear all political topics from your brain and instead will provide a nice treat for everyone’s eye.

It is time for another NOCHE DE ARTE !

This year's Noche de Arte will take place in the

Museo de la Nación on Javier Prado
on June 9 and 10,

so get ready because there are many different surprises waiting for you!

‘Noche de Arte’ is the most important event celebrating Peruvian arts and artists. It is organized by the United States Embassy Association (USEA) and the profits from art sales will benefit several meaningful charities in Peru.
This year, photography has been added in addition to the traditional paintings and sculptures. There will be additional artistic surprises.
Hundreds of artists will showcase their work and inspirations. Timothy DeHart, this year's Director said, “Noche de Arte will be the biggest success ever, we have a fantastic team (which includes LivinginPeru.com :-)) and the key to this success is the commitment that our volunteers are putting into it.”
When asked about the need for more volunteers, he said: “At this time in the process we find ourselves receiving applications for more volunteers who would like to be involved with the actual process of the art itself.”

Tickets for both nights will be sold at Teletickets, and there will be plenty of parking.

Be a part of this year's ‘Noche de Arte’, and let's be artists for a better world!
