Presidential candidate, Keiko Fujimori, visited her father, ex president Alberto Fujimori in the police base for special operations (Dinoes) where he is serving a 25 year sentence.
After spending one hour with her father, Keiko said that the conversation dealt around the political campaign, the polls, and the accusations against Fuerza 2011’s congressional candidates.
“We recalled that in 1990 there also was a dirty war against Cambio 90 – Fujimori’s political movement back then – and my father, but it turned out to be beneficious,” she said to El Comercio.
Fujimori won the 1990 presidential elections beating Nobel prize winner Mario Vargas Llosa.
“He has told me that all these unfounded attacks, one we explain it all to the people, will become boomerangs against our enemies,” said Keiko about the accusations and questionings against her political movement.
She finally said that her father will return next week to the National Institute of Neoplastic Illnesses (Inen), for a routinary medical check, after the surgery he underwent last Monday.
Ex president Fujimori had his fourth surgery done due to leucoplasy detected in his mouth cavity.
