Peru opens its first nudist beach in ChimbotePeru has now its first nudist beach, “Caleta Colorada,” located in Chimbote (Ancash), for men and women as well.

Acording to a report aired by a local TV channel, it is necessary to take a boat or a yatch to get to that beach.

“The place has nothing to envy to the Caribbean beaches. The water is transparent and rich in flora and fauna,” said proudly the Mayor of Nuevo Chimbote, Valentín Fernández.

He said that tourists get to this beach “because it is a beautiful place, and it is possible to see the fishes swimming. I encourage everyone to visit this beach,” he stressed.

Now a naturist beach gives Peru has a 102nd reason to be proud, and I can add Peru to my list of potential travel destinations.  With my limited vacation time and so many places competing for my money, I'm not spending the time or my dollars on destinations that don't offer some sort of opportunity for naturist recreation.
