Just imagine you had a small baby with a cleft palate or hare lip but you were just too poor to do anything about it. Operations like this cost big money, as do the medications. If you live in the countryside, you would also not be able to afford going to the hospital, much less pay for lodgings, etc. This is the real situation of too many Peruvian parents.
But there is an answer. Some first-rate Peruvian and German surgeons will be doing such operations for free from October 25th through November 6th, in the San Jorge Clinic in Pisco, Peru.

But the news gets even better; the Rotary Club of Pisco and some German Rotary Clubs--along with the Rotary Foundation-- are paying for the patients and an adult companion to travel from anywhere in Peru to the city of Pisco, as well as for their medicine, food and lodging. This is the sixth such campaign that Rotarians are conducting within the past six years.

Rotary Club is a non-sectarian service club of friends to like to provide health and other services to the needy. Each member pays a reasonable monthly quota, but when you multiply this by over a million Rotarians worldwide, this is a real economic power to do good. The desire and action that allows the club to benefit others occurs many times through the Rotary Foundation and other times via Club-to-Club donations.
Rotary Club Lima Sunrise is the only English-language Club in South America, other than in the country of Guyana.
If you know of a deserving family, kindly share this information with them as soon as possible, since openings for these services are limited.
