Video: Peru gives Chile goals, they take Peru's causa

First the pisco, now the causa.


 

It would be wrong to forget that the only goal Chile made against Peru in Copa America was Peru's own.

It’s been a week since we heard that Chile was claiming that the causa, a Peruvian potato-based dish, was theirs. This along with the claims that the traditional Peruvian ceviche (there are many types of ceviche, NONE like Peru’s, however) of raw fish with lemon and the pisco, the Peruvian grape brandy, are theirs is clearly proof that Chile lacks a certain kind of national creativity, not to mention good gastronomic offerings.

It doesn't seem to suck as much today as it did right after the second goal by Suarez, when we all knew it was over. The Peru team fought hard but ultimately their weaknesses were taken advantage of by Uruguay who are now in the final. Though disappointed, Peruvians are very much proud of the team's performance in this cup and we all hope they are able to continue to grow and improve for the World Cup qualifiers.
